Read the Course 84 Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to Course 84, taking place in Wymondham from 16–20 February 2027. Please read them before submitting an application.

1. Applications and acceptance

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place. Peter Stark will review applications before places are offered. A place is confirmed only when an offer has been made and the required deposit has been received. No handwritten signature is required; ticking the acceptance box and submitting the form records agreement to these terms.

2. Course fee and payment

The total course fee is £950. A £200 deposit will normally be requested approximately one month before the course to confirm an offered place. The remaining £750 is payable during the course. Any agreed accommodation costs are additional and payable according to the arrangements communicated to participants. No payment is requested automatically when an application is submitted.

3. Participant cancellation

If you need to cancel, you must notify Peter Stark in writing by email as soon as possible. Every reasonable effort will be made to fill the vacancy.

If the vacancy cannot be filled, the following maximum cancellation charges may apply:

  • More than eight weeks before the course: 0% of the course fee.
  • Four to eight weeks before the course: up to 50% of the course fee.
  • Less than four weeks before the course: up to 100% of the course fee.

These are maximum potential charges, not automatic penalties. Any charge will be fair and proportionate to reasonable losses, taking account of costs saved and any replacement participant. Any deposit already paid will be credited against the applicable cancellation charge. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

4. Organiser cancellation or significant change

Peter Stark Conducting Courses may cancel or materially change the course where reasonably necessary, including because of illness, venue or orchestra unavailability, insufficient enrolment, safety concerns or circumstances beyond reasonable control. If the course is cancelled by the organiser, course fees already paid will be refunded. Participants should arrange suitable travel insurance, as personal travel, accommodation or other consequential costs cannot normally be reimbursed.

5. Accommodation

Shared accommodation is optional, subject to availability and separate arrangements. Prices and room options will be confirmed only after a property has been booked. Accommodation costs are additional to the course fee and shared according to room arrangements. Participants may arrange their own accommodation. Where accommodation is booked through or coordinated by the course, participants must treat the property and other residents with care and may be responsible for loss or damage they cause.

6. Meals and dietary requirements

The course fee includes meals and refreshments during the course, except any separately arranged restaurant meals. Applicants must provide accurate information about dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate these needs, but an entirely allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed.

7. Attendance and conduct

Participants are expected to attend punctually, prepare the stated repertoire and take part constructively in the full course. Respectful behaviour towards tutors, musicians, staff, other participants and venues is required. The organiser may take proportionate action where conduct seriously affects safety, welfare or the learning environment.

8. Recordings

Selected video recordings may be made and provided to participants for private personal study. Participants must not publish or distribute recordings containing other participants, tutors or musicians without appropriate permission. Any concern about being recorded should be raised before the course begins.

9. Privacy

Application information is used to assess applications, communicate with applicants and administer the course. It will not be displayed publicly. Access is limited to those who need the information for course administration. Please also read the website Privacy Notice.

10. Responsibility and liability

Reasonable care will be taken in organising and delivering the course. Participants remain responsible for their own travel, personal possessions, health needs and compliance with reasonable safety instructions. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, and statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
